YWCA Quad Cities Kicks Off Week Without Violence: “Safe Beginnings – Protecting Mothers, Nurturing Futures”

The YWCA Quad Cities is proud to announce its annual Week Without Violence, taking place October 20–24, as part of a global movement to end violence in all its forms.

This year’s theme, “Safe Beginnings: Protecting Mothers, Nurturing Futures,” focuses on supporting mothers and their children as they build hopeful, healthy futures. Through a weeklong series of events, YWCA Quad Cities invites the community to come together to educate, engage, and advocate for a world free from violence for women, girls, and families.

“When we invest in safe, healthy beginnings for mothers, we strengthen the foundation of our entire community,” said Julie Larson, YWCA Quad Cities President & CEO. “This week is about awareness, action, and compassion—standing together to make sure every family has the support they deserve.”
